Clash of the Titans is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name. The story is loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus. He is the son of Zeus but was raised as a man. Hades, a vengeful underworld God, is threatening to seize power from Zeus and exact his revenge on earth. In order to save his family, Perseus volunteers to take a quest into the forbidden worlds to battle demonic beings and to defeat Hades.

According to Greek Mythology, Perseus fell in love with Princess Andromeda who was engage to son of the Sea Goddess Thetis. In retaliation, Thetis unleashed the Kraken, a giant monster raised for primeval home of the Sea-bed. In order to defeat the Kraken, Perseus has to defeat Medusa and use its head to turn the Kraken to stone.

Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation) will play the role of Perseus. Zeus will played by Liam Neeson (Shindler’s list, Taken) while Hades would be played by Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort in the Harry Potter series). Filming began on April 27, 2009, in Shepperton Studios in London and is directed by Stephen Norrington.
