Latest TV shows 2014

This January there have a lot of TV series premieres. I haven't had the chance to watch all of them but here are some that I had a chance to see

1. True Detective

Woody Harrelson and Matthew Mcconaughey are back together in this new HBO series. Detective Rustin "Rust" Cohle (Mcconaughey) and Detective Martin Hart (Harrelson) investigates the ritualistic murder of a prostitute named Dora Kelly Lange. When they found her body, she was tied up, blindfolded, painted with a cryptic symbol and wearing a crown of some sorts. They started their investigation in 1995 and caught the killer the same year. Seventeen years later, the two detectives are being interviewed separately to learn more about the case. Later it is revealed that somebody was killed using the same MO days earlier. They now question how it would be possible for the same person to kill the latest victim if he was already caught in 1995.

This is a good one. If you have seen the show called The Americans and loved it, you would definitely love this show too. Set during the Cold war era, the United states and the Soviet Union are fighting a spy war and each others soil. A member of the CIA Aldrich Ames sold confidential information to the Russians. Information includes that names of Russian soldiers who have betrayed Russia and are still spying for the United States. Too bad The Assets has been cancelled after the airing of episode 2 due to bad viewer ratings.

I hope the ABC would still air the remaining episodes. I would like to know how the CIA found out about Aldrich Ames' betrayal.

3. Enlisted

Derrick is the middle child and doesn't really want to be soldier. Randy on the other hand wants to be like his brother Pete but lacks the skills to be a soldier.
