ABC has pulled the plug on their new series  The assets. Originally it was planned to show the series as an 8 part miniseries. After Episode 2 abysmal viewer rating, ABC has decided to cancel the series. ABC has not yet announce if they will air the remaining 6 episode. Hope they do.

The Assets reminds me of the show called the Americans. Both show is set during the cold war and unlike other shows, the spies in the show are encountering difficulty setting up a bug. Technology is not yet advance so people could not hack computers. Information was limited and lives are at risk to get it. The assets is about the most dangerous Traitor during the cold war era Aldrich Ames. Ames sold information to the Soviet Union for money.

I really thought that they have a great plot. Considering the success of the Americans, I thoughts viewers would appreciate the show. I really do hope that they air the remaining episodes. What are your thoughts on the cancellation of assets?
