Long hard road to the NCAA finals

San Sebastian, Mapua and Jose Rizal Univeristy would have to climb a big wall to win the championship. the On Oct 6, JRU Bombers and the Mapua Cardinals would face to off to earn the right to challenge the number 2 seat and defending champions, San Sebastian Stags. The Bombers defeated the Cardinals twice during the elimination round with a first game score of 78 to 82 and 54 to 86 in the second game.

Whoever wins today they will face the San Sebastian Stags on October 13. Both schools lost all their elimination games against the Stags. Even if either of the schools win against San Sebastian, they have to overcome the odds against San Beda who enjoys a thrice to beat advantage.

San Sebastian is the school with biggest chances to win against San Beda. Though I think it would fair to say that San Beda would go home with the crown this year. Yes anything is possible in basketball but the odds of winning against a thrice to beat advantage is really slim even for the defending champions. Who knows what will happen. This is year of miracles for basketball. La Lakers won despite against the Celtics despite the later having the advantage in the series. We will just have to see.
