El Niño phenomenon still affects the country

Filipinos should have been enjoying the cool climate since the rain season has started last June. But we are still being tormented by the humid weather die to prolonged effects of El Niño. According to the Philippine atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Service administration (PAGASA) normally two tropical cyclones enter the country by the month of July which affects the province in the northern part of Luzon. According to weather bureau, by this time three tropical cyclones should have struck the country but only one has been recorded so far. Tropical Cyclone Agaton is the only cyclone that has entered the Philippines this year.

The country would experience cloudy weather with isolated thunderstorms and rain showers this month. In the next 3 to 5 days the bureau expects that no tropical cyclone would enter the country. PAGASA has also forecasted that the country would receive below normal amount of rain fall. But this is not a reason to celebrate. The weather Bureau expects that stronger tropical cyclones would enter the country during the third and fourth quarter of the year.
