Only 13 to 15 tropical cyclones to enter the Philippines this year

I was watching the news a few weeks back and learned that the rainy season would start during the second week of June. It has been two since but it hasn't rain as I have expected. Filipino commuter's like me still has to suffer the relentless heat of the sun while traveling. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the Philippines is still experiencing the delayed effects of the rl Nino Phenomenon. That is the reason why it has barely rain in the last two weeks.. The weather bureau also expects that only 13 to 15 Tropical cyclones this year. Normally 19 to 20 tropical cyclones enter the country every year.  Cylcone Agaton (international name Omais) is the only tropical cyclone that has entered the Philippine area of responsibility. The next cyclone, code name Basyang, would most likely enter the country during the fourth quarter of the year. The La Nina Phenomenon is expected to start during the 3rd or 4th quarter of the year.
