Zombieland TV Series Pilot Review

I was pretty excited when I heard the news that Amazon has ordered a pilot episode for the TV adaptation of the hit zombie apocalypse movie Zombieland. The pilot was written by Zombieland creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

The episode starts with a backstory of Talhasee (originally played by Woody Harrelson) during the beginning of Zombie apocalypse. Ainsley and his office mate Shiela were talking about his First world problems. First he damage his new Iphone and was told that he could get a replacement if he told them that it was damaged when it was shipped. Ainsley had to visit a Starbucks since his coffee
maker is broken. Since most people mispronounced his name a lot he used a different one. The problem is someone mistakenly took his order causing him problem because he is Lactose intolerant. He then visited a pharmacy but the meds that he bought was not working. Talhasee comes in and started serving food to two office workers. Everything outside their office was going to hell. Eventually a Zombie saw them and jump through the window. Ainsley got bitten and Shiela ran away. Talahasee took one legs from the cart and use it to smash the zombie's head. He then heads outside of the office and sees the chaos.

Fast forward two months later, Talhasee has met Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock and is running away from a fireworks factory that he rigged for their own private fireworks displayed. Little rock has pointed out that something is missing. People. They miss the company of other humans and seek the help of ex-on star operator named Detroit to find other survivors. Detroit informed that a zombie free community has been established on the other side of the country. Instead of travelling miles to . They decided to look for other survivors in Los Angeles and try to established their own community.

First stop is a window washer in. As he was descending, a zombie jumps through a window bringing him falling from the building instantly killing him. Next they were routed to Regina (pronounced like vagina with an r). Columbus and Wichita instantly made a game counting how many times Talahasee would mention Vagina.

Regina offered them a baked blueberry cheese cake. But little soon after, Regina was immediately thrown off a bridge by a zombie instantly killing her. Next they visited Eugene. They agreed to protect him like they were secret service agents. But luck was not on their side.Eugene fell through the several floors instantly killing him.

Last stop is an elderly couple named.  They were already late and the couple has already turned to zombies. Columbus would have been bitten fortunately she was wearing false teeth wasn't able to bite through. Talahasee used d a fire place poker to smash their heads. With the last remaining survivors gone, they decided to travel to.

Also in the episode, Wichita and Columbus were kinda dating until Columbus freaked Wichita by asking about kids, raising little rock, and her dream honeymoon spot. Wichita also revealed that her real name is Krista but immediately revoked Columbus' privilege to call her by her real name.

Too Bad the series did not push through. I think most fans could not get past the Idea of actors playing the iconic roles of Talahasee, Wichita, Little Rock and Columbus. Personally, the new actors playing Wichita, Little Rock and Columbus did a good job with their roles. But for Talahasee, it somehow feels that the actor is overacting. what do you think?
