Dale "Barbie" Barbara is a former Captain in the United States Military. He was part of the the group called the "Jackrabbits" who are famous among Military soldiers. After retiring from the Army, Barbie became an enforcer for a Bookie in West Lake.

He was tasked to get the money from Dr.Peter Shumway. Shumway is an gambling addict who has lost everything that he and his wife Julia has. Peter was trying to renegotiate the payment of his debt. Things did not go well and they ended up fighting. Barbie accidentally shot Peter. Eventually the shot killed him.

As Barbie was leaving Chester's Mill, a mysterious dome appeared trapping him and other residents inside. He eventually met Julia Shumway. Due to certain events Julia offered Barbie a place to stay.Eventually they developed romantic feeling with one another.

Dale "Barbie" Barbara is played by Mike Vogel.. Where else did you see him? He played Johnny Foote in the 2011 movie "The Help" and Jack in the  2010 movie "She's out of my league"
