Person of Interest Season 3 Episode 9: The Crossing

In the previous episode, Joss and Reese abducted Quinn and was taking him to the FBI. Problem is Reese’s picture was captured and HR has sent it out to all of its members and all the gangs in New York.  With all the gangs and HR closing in, they had great difficulty in reaching the FBIs.

Fusco and Shaw were helping them in sidelines. Unfortunately Fusco was captured by Simmons along with the key to safety deposit box that Carter entrusted to him. Simmons threatened to kill Fusco’s son if he did not give the location of the box. Fortunately Shaw was able to get to Fusco’s son on time. Fusco then got an opportunity to escape and was able to kill his capture.

Carter and Reese were just a few blocks away from the FBI building when a gang saw them. They had to take refuge in a City Morgue. Trapped and were outnumbered by HRs men, Reese plans to sacrificed himself to save Carter. Fortunately Reese was able to neutralize all the threats but was captured by the Police.

Carter was then made detective and released Reese from Police Custody. Outside the precinct, Finch arrived to fetch Reese. The phone rings but Finch was reluctant to answer it. Then Simmons appears and shoots Reese and Carter. Both were badly shot but Carter’s injuries were fatal.

This is a game changer for the show. Carter was the moral compass of Reese. He does listen to Finch but listens more to Carter. Reese has stated that he wanted to end his life but Carter was able to save him from himself. Now that Carter is gone and Quinn is in custody, a power shift among the Crime organization in New York would definitely happen.

The death of Carter is a shock to the show’s fan. It’s great to know that they still have stories that would still shock their viewers. What are your thoughts on “The crossing”?
