Warning: Don't read if you haven't seen this episode

A new character is introduced in this episode. They call him governor, the leader of a settlement called Woodbury. He uses brutal methods to keep his community safe.

In the start of episode, a helicopter carrying 4 marines crash in a field where Andrea and Michonne was. A few moments after, the governor and his men arrived salvaging all the supplies that they could gather. Michonne and Andrea was hiding in bush and was found by Merle Dixon. Daryl's brother who was handcuffed and left for the dead back in Atlanta. He escaped but lost his arm.

They were then brought to Woodbury and were questioned about the Atlanta survivors. At the same time, the governor was questioning the pilot and was able to trick to give the location of his comrades.

They were able to locate them killed them brutally. Taking their vehicles and supplies, he told the rest of the people in Woodbury that they were late and the walkers got to them first.

It is revealed that he has a collection of human heads. The heads of two of Michonne's zombies is preserved in one of his aquarium along with the head of a the chopper pilot who they recently encountered.

It is interest to see how the arc would progress. I can't wait for the story to unfold. What do you think?

Arrow Season 1 Episode 2: Honor thy Father

Next on Oliver's list is Martin Somers, a wealthy businessman who made a deal with the triad to bring drugs to Starling City. With Laurel Lance determine to bring down Somers, the Chinese triad stepped in and assigned an assassin named China white to kill Laurel.

Good thing Oliver was in the house when Laurel got attacked. Another good thing is that Oliver's bodyguard is nearby and was able to shoot two out of three attackers. China White and Diggle started fighting. Diggle was almost killed. Luckily Oliver was able to deflect the assassin's knife using a bread knife Oliver took from the table. Diggle immediately recognizes that Oliver has been hiding his skills being able to throw the knife with deadly accuracy.

Angered by the failed assassination attempt, Oliver donned the hood and went after Somers. He then encounters China but was unable to finish their fight due to the police's arrival. But Oliver was able to record Somers' confession. While escaping, detective Lance was able to hold Oliver at gunpoint. Using his skills again, Oliver was able disarm Detective Lance and provided the confession he got from Somers.

It was a great episode and has caught my interest in watching the future episode of Arrow. I do wish we get to see more of China White as she seems to be a formidable enemy of Green Arrow.

The walking dead season 3 episode 1: Seed

Warning: Don't read if you haven't seen this episode

Months after the events from season two, Rick and the rest of the survivors are exhausted and have not been in one place for long period of time.

It seems like Lori is only a few weeks off from delivering the baby and the group is in desperate need of place to stay. Then they found a prison filled with walkers. But with a lot of effort, shooting and stabbing, they were able to kill a lot walkers and found a secure part of the prison. The next day they pushed further and was able to secure a cell block. But they had to push a little more further to find medicine and food for the group.

As they searching for supplies, Maggie and Glenn were separated from the group. When they have evaded the walkers, Rick and the others went back to look for their missing colleagues. Hershel was bitten by a walker and in an attempt to save his life, Rick had to cut off Hershel's leg with an axe. The episode ended with Daryl pointing his crossbow at some of survivors from the prison.

This is a great start for the walking dead. It has the making of another great season. I am curious on what is in store for fans this season. There a lot of new characters from the survivors of the prisons to the group that has taken Michonne and Andrea to place called Woodbury

Arrow Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

After 5 years trapped in an island in the North China Sea, Oliver Queen returns to Starling City to fulfill his Father's dying wish. Oliver has gone missing after their yacht was shipwrecked leading to  death of father Robert Queen and his girlfriend's sister Sarah Lance.

Waiting for his return is his mother Moria Queen, his sister Thea Queen, his best friend Tommy Merlyn and his dad's old CEO and now his stepfather Walter Steele. He then starts his plan to get rid of the people that has been taking advantage of the powerless and the poor. First on his list is Adam Hunt, a corrupt billionaire who has gain his wealth through unlawful means. He first threatens him to transfer 40 millions dollars to an account that he provided. Naturally Adam Hunt refuses to hand over his money. Using a welcome home party that Tommy has thrown for Oliver's return as an alibi, Oliver cross the adjacent building, which is where Adam Hunt is, stormed his base and stole  Adam's money by hacking his account and giving it to Adam's victims.

This is hard enough but what makes his task more difficult is detective Quentin Lance, father of Sarah Lance who blames Oliver for his daughter's death. Oliver now has to be more careful as he juggles with his secret life as a vigilante and being the person that his family wants him to be.

The Pilot was interesting enough to make you want to watch more episodes. It has a feel of Batman begins and somehow a feel of Smallville. Why Batman begins, there are similarities with the way Oliver has gone missing and started his training with how Bruce got his training in the Batman begins movie. It is also similar to Smallville because of the Merlyn-Oliver friendship thing. Eventually Merlyn would be his enemy and he would learn to use the bow and arrow. It might be jealousy that would push Merlyn to hate Oliver. I predict that Laurel Lance would pick Oliver or Oliver might go after Merlyn's father or someone close to him. Well that's just my prediction.

I would give Arrow a few more episode before deciding on continuing watching the series.

Arrow

The show is about Oliver Queen, billionaire turned vigilante better known as Green Arrow. Like many other people out there, I was reluctant in watching this new show from CW. CW also brought Smallville, the story of how Clark Kent before he became Superman.

I said I was reluctantly because I saw green arrow in Smallville and their version is a wimpier version compared to the comics. Now they are trying to retell Green Arrow's story using the same formula they used in Smallville. Although I find the Pilot episode interest enough to watch more episode, I don't think that the Ollie and Tommy Merlyn best friend thing is the way to go especially when CW did the exact same thing in Smallville.

I also see similarities with the latest Batman trilogy. Both have gone missing for years and came back becoming vigilantes. Both are filthy rich and both has put an arrogant rich boy facade when they returned to their respective cities. I haven't read the green arrow comics and I am not sure if this how it is with the comics. What I am pretty sure is that Tommy Merlyn or Merlyn is his arch enemy and they were never best friends. In fact Merlyn is way older that Oliver .

With all of this. I think this series is worth giving a chance. I just hope they start creating more original ideas rather than copying other series or movies.
