San Sebastian solo leader in NCAA Men's Basketball games

San Sebastian enjoys the solo lead in NCAA Men's Basketball tournament after the defeating the Perpetual Help Altas and winning their third straight game. But it is still too early for the Stags relax as the San Beda and Letran are just close behind in second place with 2 wins each. San Sebastian won by 27 points with end of game  score of 87-60. Red Lions' Abueva and Pascual are the top scorers of the game with 31 and 29 points respectively.

Defending champions San Beda Lions on the other hand has put an end to newcomer Lyceum Pirates' impressive debut. The Lions won by 20 points with a score of 89-69. Despite Sudan Daniels' absence due to an ACL injury, San Beda seems to be in good shape to be a contender for the crown this year. The Pirates' defeat puts them with a 2-1 win loss standing. Zamora of Lyceum is the high point man of the game with 21 points closely followed by San Beda's Lanete with 19 points

The Pirates will then face EAC generals on July 15, 2011 while Perpetual Help would then face JRU on July 25, 2011

Falling skies

The show is set on the premise that the world is on the brink of extinction by the hands of Aliens. 90% of the world's population was annihilated in just a few days. Most of the planet's energy sources and technology are rendered useless.

The show picks up six months after the aliens came to the planet. A group of resistance fighters called the 2nd Massachusetts are fighting against time to find a way to defeat the alien also known as "Skitters" with depleting resources.

The resistance is lead by retired Captain Weaver and Tom Mason (a Boston University professor before the invasion began.) Tom has three kids. Hal a sixteen year old student who is now a scout for the resistance is the eldest child. The middle child, Ben was caught by the Skitters. Hal and Tom are trying to look for him and a way to remove an alien attached to him and other children called the "Harness". And Matt is his youngest child.

I have to admit that the series didn't really attract my attention at first. But as the series progresses, I grew fond of watching it. It is just like the other show that I am watching about alien invasion called V. But the main difference is that in V, the aliens look like humans and could communicate using the human language. In V, at first they were putting a facade that they come in peace. In Falling skies, it is all out annihilation from the start. The series reminds of the movie called Independence day. I am quite interested enough to see how the series would progress. I can't wait to watch the next episode.

TNT seems to doing a lot of post apocalyptic TV series. This year they aired "The walking dead". The series is about a world filled with zombies just like the movie "Zombieland".

Knights beat Altas!

UPHDS Altas just couldn't get any break. The Altas has lost three times in a row and has yet to win this season. Letran has given them their biggest lost so far with 31 points. During opening day, defending champion San Beda Lions defeated the Altas by 30 points. Letran's win has placed them to 1st place along with San Sebastian Stags and Lyceum Pirates with 2 wins each.

I think both teams where a bit sloppy during the 1st half. Turnover for the game is considerably high for both teams. Altas had 29 turnovers while Letran had 20. Not much of a difference right? Perpetual only 9 turnover more than Letran. The only problem is, the Perpetual failed to convert it turnover points. Letran had 20 turnover points compared to Altas' 8 points. Out of the 54 shots attempted, only 14 points were made by Perpetual. Letran's field goal percentage is at 40%. Letran made 27 out of the 67 shots attempted. Letran's Jay Espiritu is the top scorer of the game with 18 points.

Perpetual would have to face another big challenge on their next game. They will face last year's runner up San Sebastian Stags on July 11, 2011. Letran will face Arellano University Chiefs on July 15, 2011. Au chiefs  suffered their first lost this season to EAC Generals. They are fresh from their win against JRU who has lost their first two games.

Legitimate ways to make money online: Sponsored Reviews

I think a lot of people are looking for ways to make money online. I have been searching for legitimate ways to make money online. There are a lot that would offer you quick ways to make money online. Most of them are scams. While some would offer to help you make money online for a certain price.

I personally haven't tried paying a certain amount to join a money making program online. I am referring to those online surveys or data entry jobs that would require you to pay a certain amount so that they will give you the job. There are free and legitimate online surveys or data entry jobs. But you have to really search for them.

Here is a sure way to make money online. I have been a member of sponsored reviews for quite some time. Unlike other pay per post sites, You have to bid for opportunities. For sites like payperpost and blogvertise. you don't have to bid. You just have to wait for the offers.

Sun Broadband Service update

I have been looking for an internet service that would cater my online needs. I used to be a subscriber of Bayantel DSL service. Since I transferred residence, I needed to get a postpaid internet subscription. I could have chosen a prepaid service but it is too much of a hassle to reload every now and then.

I have been testing the Sun broadband service whenever I can. I have visited several places recently and I wanted to impart to you how the service is like in certain places. I have been to Sto. Tomas Pampanga. There is absolutely no service. I have no problem with the Sun prepaid cellphone service in Pampanga. The signal in that area is a lot stronger than Globe and Smart. So I concluded that Sun's cellular service and their Broadband service is not sharing the same network. That is good news and bad news about this. Assuming that is the case, it is beneficially for sun broadband user who are situated in areas where there a lot of sun cellphone user. Globe and Smart use their cell sites to provide service for both cellphone and broadband user. So what it means is that, if there are a lot of cellphone subscriber's in a particular area, chances are broadband service would be poor.

I have tried to use the broadband service in Mandaluyong, and it is pretty slow. I could only maximize the service from five o'clock in the morning until six. I also tried the service when I was in better living. The internet connection there is fast most of the time, however there are certain days when it is slow. Out of 10 days, I experienced a day of slow connection.

I primarily use sun's broadband service in San Mateo. I haven't experience any problem with browsing. But when it comes to torrent downloading, most of the time it is slow. But compared to Smart bro or Globe Tattoo, at least I could even download torrents with Sun. One more good thing about it is that I don't get disconnected. With the other network providers, I always had to reconnect from time to time

Lyceum wins twice in a row

Guest Team Lyceum Pirates is having a great debut in NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. The Pirates downed the CSB Blazers in their first game in the NCAA with a score of 75-63 and defeated UPHSD Altas with a score of 93-87 in their second game. This puts them on top spot on the team standing closely followed by Letran, Emilio Aguinaldo College, San Beda and San Sebastian with 1 win each. Altas has dropped last in the ranking with 2 lost in two games along with JRU who is still yet to win this season.

Season 87 is full of surprises. The Championship is up for grabs to any team hungry enough to win it. Sudan Daniel of San Beda is out for the whole season due to an ACL (Arterior cruciate ligament) injury. Jose Rizal College has lost two of their foreign players (Joe Etame and John Nchotu) and would test the depth of their lineup. Mapua is a team to watch with their latest addition, the six-foot-seven Fil-Palestinian rookie Yousef Taha. The EAC Generals has recruited to Filipino Americans cagers. six-foot-two guard Joshua Torralba and six-foot-one Igee King joins the Generals lineup to strengthen their bid to take home the championship this year.
